Anna Cardani

Dr. Anna Cardani is a gynecologist at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Unit directed by Professor Massimo Candiani. She is also the Coordinator for the Twin Pregnancy Clinic.

She graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1988 and completed her specialization in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the same university (ICP Mangiagalli) in 1992.

Dr. Cardani has significant experience in gynecological endocrinology and has accumulated several decades of expertise in obstetric ultrasound, particularly in second-level scans, fetal malformations, intrauterine growth retardation, first-trimester prenatal diagnosis, and complications of twin pregnancies.

She has trained at the Hospital Clinic de Barcelona, in the department of prenatal diagnosis and fetal surgery led by Professor E. Gratacos.

She contributes to internal protocols for managing the threat of preterm labor.

Currently, her clinical work focuses on the Obstetrics and Delivery Room departments, handling twin pregnancies, second-level obstetric ultrasounds (malformations, obstetric conditions, diabetes), and gynecological ultrasounds.

Dr. Cardani is the author and co-author of publications in national and international scientific journals and regularly participates in national and international conferences in her field.

She has also contributed chapters to obstetrics textbooks.
