Giulia Pasqualin

Dr. Giulia Pasqualin is a cardiologist in the Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiology and Hemodynamics Unit at IRCCS Policlinico San Donato.

She graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2014 and completed her specialization in Cardiovascular Diseases in 2019.

In 2021, she earned a second-level Master’s degree in Pediatric and Developmental Age Cardiology.

During her studies, she completed an observership in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging at Boston Children’s Hospital and later a research fellowship at the Boston Adult Congenital Heart and Pulmonary Hypertension Program of Harvard Medical School, MA (USA).

Dr. Pasqualin is an expert in:

• Performing and reporting Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging in children and adults, for which she holds European certification (EACVI CMR CHD level 3);
• Clinical management of pediatric and adult patients with congenital heart disease.

Her research focuses mainly on the use of cardiovascular imaging for diagnosis and prognosis in congenital heart disease.

In 2022, Dr. Pasqualin received the prestigious Marsico Award from the Italian Society of Pediatric Cardiology for her research on intracavitary flow dynamics in the systemic right ventricle, conducted in collaboration with the 3D Imaging Laboratory.

Since 2022, she has collaborated as a teaching assistant at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, providing lectures and tutoring for students and residents in the Cardiology course.
