Francesca Tucci
Biography
Dr. Francesca Tucci is a pediatric immunohematologist in the Pediatric Immunohematology Unit at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, led by Professor Alessandro Aiuti.
After graduating with honors from the University Federico II of Naples in 2010, she specialized in pediatrics at the same university in 2016. Dr. Tucci also earned a second-level master’s degree with honors in Pediatric Hematology from Sapienza University of Rome in 2017.
Since 2016, she has worked at the San Raffaele-Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy's Pediatric Clinical Research Unit in Milan, focusing on ex-vivo gene therapy using engineered hematopoietic stem cells for various genetic diseases affecting the immune, blood, and nervous systems.
At IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, she also practices clinically in allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for immunodeficiencies and other non-malignant blood disorders.
