Biography

Dr. Francesco Puccetti is a surgeon in the Gastrointestinal Surgery Unit at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele and a researcher in General and Esophagogastric Surgery at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.

He graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery in 2010 from Alma Mater Studiorum in Bologna and specialized with distinction in Digestive System Surgery and Digestive Endoscopy at the University of Milan in 2016.

Dr. Puccetti has collaborated with several international centers renowned for treating esophagogastric conditions. Notably, he completed two 12-month Research Fellowships at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, UK, and the Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, WA, USA. His training and professional experience have been marked by a strong dedication to Oncologic and Gastrointestinal Surgery, developed under the guidance of Prof. Rosati.

Since 2016, he has been working clinically and conducting research at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, focusing on general and oncologic surgery, as well as implementing innovative techniques such as enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) and minimally invasive surgery.

Publications and conference participation: Dr. Puccetti is a researcher at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan and actively contributes to scientific research with numerous published articles. He also regularly participates in national and international congresses as a speaker and/or presenter.
