Francesco Ruffoni

Dr. Francesco Ruffoni is the Head of the Prosthetic Surgery Unit for shoulder, hip, and knee at Istituto Clinico San Siro. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1986 and completed his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 1991. Following his graduation, he attended a one-year postgraduate course in pediatric orthopedics at the CTO University Clinic in Milan.

From 1993 to 2010, he served as a Level I Medical Director in Orthopedic Surgery at Istituto Ortopedico G. Pini in Milan, where he gained extensive experience in prosthetic surgery of the shoulder, hip, and knee, as well as in traumatology. 

Between 2011 and 2013, he worked at Clinica San Pio X in Milan, and since 2014, he has continued his practice at Istituto Clinico San Siro of the Gruppo San Donato. Currently, Dr. Ruffoni is an orthopedic surgeon responsible for shoulder and elbow surgery and prosthetic surgery for hip and knee at Istituto Clinico San Siro, with additional expertise in pediatric orthopedics.

Throughout his career, he has completed numerous advanced training courses abroad and is the author of 28 publications in specialized journals.
