Gabriele Siesto

Dr. Gabriele Siesto is a gynecologist at the Gynecology and Obstetrics Unit directed by Prof. Massimo Candiani.

He graduated from the University of Insubria in Varese in 2005 with top honors and later specialized in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the same institution in 2010, again with top honors. Immediately after his specialization, he began his hospital career at the IRCCS Istituto Clinico Humanitas in Rozzano, where he served as an Assistant and later as a Deputy until 2021. During this time, he honed his surgical skills in treating benign and oncological gynecological conditions, focusing particularly on minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic techniques.

Since June 2023, he has been a consultant for the Pelvic Unit of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Unit at San Raffaele Hospital. He also engages in private practice at Punto RAF on Via Washington.

Dr. Siesto specializes in hormonal and non-hormonal contraception, management of polycystic ovary syndrome, pre- and post-menopausal management, and hormone replacement therapy. 

He conducts secondary-level assessments for cancer prevention, manages HPV-related conditions through colposcopy and vulvoscopy, and addresses benign gynecological conditions (such as uterine fibroids, endometriosis, and ovarian cysts), as well as oncological conditions (neoplasms of the uterus, ovary, and vulva) and patients undergoing monitoring for previous non-gynecological neoplasms (e.g., breast neoplasms on Tamoxifen or other hormonal therapies). He also manages patients at increased oncological risk (such as BRCA mutations, Lynch syndrome, etc.) and assesses pelvic floor disorders (such as genital prolapse and urinary incontinence). He performs gynecological ultrasounds, including first-level, second-level (for studying ovarian masses according to IOTA accreditation), and 3D ultrasounds (for assessing uterine morphology).

Dr. Siesto is the author and co-author of 54 articles in journals with impact factors (source: SCOPUS) and has an H-index of 23.
