Barbara Demarchi

Dr. Barbara Demarchi is a cardiologist at the Clinical Cardiology Unit of IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, under the direction of Professor Alberto Margonato.

After graduating with honors in Medicine and Surgery in 1995 from the University of Milan, she specialized, again with honors, in Cardiology at the same university in 2001.

Dr. Demarchi is involved in clinical outpatient activities and non-invasive diagnostics, including echocardiography, stress testing, and ECG Holter monitoring. She has gained experience as a clinical cardiology consultant in managing patients with oncological issues or those requiring general surgery.

She serves as a consulting cardiologist for the Neurology Department, contributing to the multidisciplinary management of patients admitted for acute events (mainly ischemic stroke and cerebral hemorrhage) as well as those with chronic neurological conditions.

Dr. Demarchi has conducted research in the area of arterial hypertension (pathophysiology and participation in several multicenter clinical studies) and is the author and co-author of several publications in scientific journals in the field.

She regularly attends national and international cardiology conferences and is actively involved in accredited Continuing Medical Education (CME) events for specialists and general practitioners.
