Carlo Ballarotto

Dr. Carlo Ballarotto is a cardiologist at the Clinical Cardiology Unit of the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan, directed by Professor Alberto Margonato.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1983 from the University of Milan and specialized in Cardiology at the same university in 1985.
Since 1986, he has worked at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, initially as an Assistant Cardiologist and later as Deputy Chief of the Coronary Unit. Since 2018, he has been the Head of the Functional Unit in Clinical and Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Ballarotto specializes in all areas of Cardiology with particular interest in the treatment of severe acute and chronic heart disease, including myocardial infarction, heart failure, hypertension, valvular diseases, and arrhythmias.
In clinical cardiology, he performs follow-ups on patients who have undergone revascularization through angioplasty and coronary artery bypass grafting.
He has extensive experience in performing electrocardiography and Holter dynamic electrocardiography, echocardiography, ergometry, nuclear cardiology, as well as key invasive procedures such as cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography, and percutaneous angioplasty.
He regularly participates in scientific congresses at both national and international levels.
