Francesca Aleotti

Dr. Francesca Aleotti is a General Surgeon at the Pancreatic Surgery and Transplant Unit of the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, directed by Prof. Massimo Falconi.
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2014 from the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University with a score of 110/110 with honors, presenting a thesis on pancreatic islet autotransplantation. She then specialized in General Surgery in 2020 at the same university, also with honors, scoring 70/70.
Her clinical work focuses on the treatment of pancreatic diseases, both benign and malignant, as well as conditions affecting the duodenum and biliary tract/gallbladder. She is also involved in general surgery and transplant surgery, particularly in organ retrieval (kidney/pancreas) and the management of surgical diseases in uremic patients.
Her research activity is concentrated on pancreatic diseases, particularly pancreatic adenocarcinoma, pancreatic cystic neoplasms, and pancreatic islet autotransplantation. In this field, she has contributed to the drafting of 36 articles published in international scientific journals (Scopus H-index: 15).
She regularly participates in national and international conferences and is a member of various scientific societies, such as the Italian Society of Surgery (SIC), the Italian Association for the Study of the Pancreas (AISP), the European Pancreatic Club (EPC), and the Italian Society for Organ and Tissue Transplantation (SITO).
