Gabriella Galimberti

Dr. Gabriella Galimberti is the Head of the Functional Unit at the General Medicine Unit with a focus on Metabolic Health and Aging at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, directed by Professor Patrizia Rovere-Querini.

After graduating in 1982 from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan, at the same university in 1985 she specialized in diabetology and substitution therapy. In 1995, she received a second specialization in internal medicine at the University of Pavia.

Dr. Galimberti's clinical activity focuses on: the treatment of type 2 and type 1 diabetes, diabetic, peripheral and autonomic neuropathy. In this context, she is an expert in the field of FREMS therapy for painful diabetic neuropathy. Also: internal medicine. She is a consultant therapist and diabetologist in other departments.

As a researcher, Dr. Galimberti is an expert in the field of diabetes complications, therapy and prevention. She constantly participates in national and international congresses of the industry.
