Marco Lanzillotta

Biography

Dr. Marco Lanzillotta is an Internist and Immunologist at the Unit of Immunology, Rheumatology, Allergology, and Rare Diseases at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, led by Professor Lorenzo Dagna.

He earned his degree in Medicine and Surgery in 2015 from Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan, where he also specialized in Internal Medicine in 2021.

Dr. Lanzillotta became interested in immuno-rheumatology during the later years of his medical training. Through his specialization in Internal Medicine, he expanded his interests into various fields, including transplant medicine, onco-hematology, and endocrinology. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Immunology, focusing on IgG4-related disease, while also conducting clinical work in rheumatology.

He treats patients with rare diseases such as IgG4-related disease (especially autoimmune pancreatitis and retroperitoneal fibrosis) and ANCA-associated vasculitis. He also runs a general rheumatology clinic (treating conditions like osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia) and a multidisciplinary clinic addressing gastro-rheumatological issues that arise in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease).

An author and co-author of numerous publications in indexed journals, Dr. Lanzillotta regularly participates in national and international conferences in his field.
