Nicola Farina

Biography

Dr. Nicola Farina is an Immunologist and Rheumatologist at the Unit of Immunology, Rheumatology, Allergology, and Rare Diseases at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan, led by Professor Lorenzo Dagna. He also collaborates with Smart Clinic.

He earned his degree in Medicine and Surgery in 2017 from the University of Verona and later specialized in Clinical Immunology in 2022 at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, graduating with top honors in both instances. Between 2021 and 2022, Dr. Farina also completed a Clinical Research Fellowship at University College London.

Dr. Farina is in charge of the clinic dedicated to rheumatologic adverse reactions to oncologic immunotherapy and co-manages the clinic focused on ocular pemphigoid in collaboration with ophthalmologists. Additionally, he treats inflammatory arthritis (such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthropathy, ankylosing spondylitis) and their treatment with biologic drugs, large vessel vasculitis (including giant cell arteritis and Takayasu arteritis), autoinflammatory diseases (notably, adult-onset Still’s disease), sarcoidosis, Behcet's disease, connective tissue diseases, and immune-mediated ocular conditions (such as uveitis and scleritis).

Dr. Farina conducts clinical research in these areas and is the author of numerous publications in international scientific journals, with an H-Index of 15. He actively participates in national and international conferences in his field.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Farina serves as an Adjunct Professor at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.
