Silvia Battaglia

Dr. Silvia Battaglia is a general surgeon in the Gastrointestinal Surgery Unit at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele.

She graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Padua in 2017. In 2023, she completed her specialization in General Surgery at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan, presenting a thesis on preoperative hemodynamic variations in minimally invasive upper gastrointestinal surgery.

During her training, she undertook a clinical and research internship at Amsterdam UMC (2022–2023), where she attended the Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery Center. This experience allowed her to establish connections with other specialized centers within international surgical societies.

Dr. Battaglia primarily focuses on general and gastrointestinal surgery.

She has contributed to several scientific publications in international journals and participates annually in national and international conferences of major surgical societies.
