Lorenzo Gozzini
Biografie
Dr. Lorenzo Gozzini is a general surgeon at the Gastrointestinal Surgery Unit at the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele.
In 2018, he graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Pisa, and in 2024, he specialized in General Surgery at the University Vita-Salute San Raffaele.
In 2023, he obtained a diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery from the University of Strasbourg.
During his training, as part of an Italy-Argentina international collaboration project, he completed an internship at the Nuevo Hospital San Roque in Cordoba, Argentina (2022-23).
Dr. Gozzini's clinical activity focuses on gastrointestinal surgery and diseases of the upper and lower digestive tract, both benign (hiatal hernia, achalasia, gastroesophageal reflux disease, diverticular disease of the colon) and primarily malignant (esophageal and gastric cancers, intestinal neoplasms, and colorectal cancer).
Since the start of his specialization, Dr. Gozzini has been working at Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan, focusing mainly on general surgery, oncological surgery, and the application of innovative methods, such as enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) and minimally invasive techniques.
He has contributed to various scientific publications in international journals and regularly participates in national and international conferences hosted by leading surgical societies.
Dr. Gozzini is an active member of the OncoTeam for colorectal oncological pathology of the SICO (Italian Society of Surgical Oncology) and is a member of SIC (Italian Society of Surgery), SICE (Italian Society of Endoscopic Surgery and New Technologies), EAES (European Association of Endoscopic Surgery), ISFGS (International Society for Fluorescence Guided Surgery), and ESSO (European Society of Surgical Oncology).
