Elio Treppiedi (Элио Треппиеди)

Dr. Elio Treppiedi is a general surgeon at the Gastroenterology Surgery Unit of the IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2010 from the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University and obtained his specialization in General Surgery in 2017 from the University of Verona, discussing a thesis on the classification of gastric neoplasms.

In 2019, he continued his studies with a university diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery at the University of Strasbourg in France. Subsequently, in 2021, he earned a Master's degree in Digestive Oncological Surgery from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart - Gemelli Hospital in Rome.

From 2017 to 2018, he engaged in clinical and surgical activities at the High Specialization Center for Esophageal-Gastric Surgical Diseases, the "Service de chirurgie générale et digestive" at the Regional University Hospital of Lille, France.

He focuses his practice on gastroenterological surgery (inguinal hernias, hiatal hernias, esophageal achalasia, gallbladder stones, gastroesophageal reflux disease) and abdominal oncological surgery (neoplasms of the esophagus, colon-rectum, stomach, etc.).

He is the author and co-author of numerous publications in international journals and book chapters, and he regularly participates in various surgical and oncological congress activities.

Dr. Treppiedi is a member of the GIRCG (Italian Group for Gastric Cancer Research), SIC (Italian Society of Surgery), SISME (Italian Society for the Study of Esophageal Diseases), and SICO (Italian Society of Oncological Surgery).
