Biografie

Dr. Alessia Dossena is a vascular surgeon and the Head of the GSD Vein & Derma Clinic at the Istituto di Cura Città di Pavia. She also collaborates with Punto RAF Respighi.

She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Pavia in 1996 with honors, achieving a grade of 110/110. In 1997, she began her specialization in Vascular Surgery at the IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo in Pavia.

In 1998, she moved to the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele under the guidance of Professor Roberto Chiesa, where she completed her Vascular Surgery specialization in 2002 at the University of Siena (in affiliation with San Raffaele), with a final grade of 70/70 with honors.

During her time at San Raffaele Hospital, she performed:

  • Arterial and venous vascular surgery as the primary operator
  • Day and night on-call duties
  • Outpatient wound care
  • Specialist consultations
  • Color Doppler ultrasound diagnostics

Since 2002, Dr. Dossena has focused on non-invasive vascular diagnostics and the treatment of venous and angiological conditions of predominantly medical interest, extending her focus to conditions with aesthetic impacts.

From 2008 to 2012, she attended the four-year post-university School of Aesthetic and Wellness Medicine Agorà in Milan, successfully passing the final annual exams.

She maintains compliance with the continuing medical education requirements as mandated by law.

Dr. Dossena, as the head of the Vein & Derma Clinic at the Istituto di Cura Città di Pavia, specializes in venous and microcirculatory disorders. Her clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases of medical interest, as well as venous conditions requiring surgical intervention, including ambulatory phlebectomy, mechanochemical ablation of the saphenous veins, and thermal ablation of the saphenous veins.
