Biografie

Dr. Paola Castellazzi is a Physiatrist in the Clinical Units for Specialist Rehabilitation—Neurological, Cognitive, and Motor Disorders, and Specialist Motor Rehabilitation at the IRCSS San Raffaele Hospital.

She graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2004 from Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, where she specialized in Neurosurgery in 2010. In 2017, she further specialized in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Verona. That same year, she earned a qualification as an Acupuncturist from the AIRAS association in Padua. Currently, she is pursuing a Level I Master's degree in Severe Acquired Brain Injury at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

Dr. Castellazzi focuses on the rehabilitation of patients with acute, post-acute, and chronic neurological conditions. She manages the rehabilitation of patients following major surgeries, neuro-surgical brain and spinal operations, and orthopedic surgeries. Additionally, she provides consultations and specialist visits for pediatric patients and is qualified to prescribe prosthetics and aids, particularly in the prosthetization of amputee patients.

She is the author and co-author of numerous publications, with an H-index of 12. Dr. Castellazzi is a member of several scientific societies, including SIRN, SIMFER, and ARSOP, and actively participates in national and international conferences in her field.
